I have seen MARS300 live on VyRT. That was my only live concert experience with MARS… until Church Of Mars Philadelphia. If you want to call this a review you can. I think of it as expressing my feelings on seeing MARS live & in person for the first time EVER. My journey to get there was a rough one though. From the day I found out I won tickets, I had a week & a half to figure out how I was going to get from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia for this show. I was determined. I asked several people if they would like to go, including my, close to hometown, girls Stacie (@StacieBella) & Megan (@SaruSanMeg). Sadly it was bad timing for everyone I asked. I felt like I was leaving a wave of sadness across Pennsylvania. Finally, late afternoon on the Sunday before the show I asked my cousin Fred, who had never been to any concert at all, if he would like to make the 5 hour long drive with me. I was ecstatic when he said sure. Let me tell you it was well worth the trip! Being that this was only the 2nd concert I’ve ever been to in my life… and I’m 32… I can not imagine any other show topping this one… expect of course another MARS show. Jared, Shannon & Tomo were outstanding! The show felt so intimate & special. It’s hard for me to pick just one moment that was my favorite. So many of my dreams came true that night. Ranging from being down in the pit, witnessing The Kill being preformed & Jared coming into the crowd right up next to me, hearing songs I know & love so much as well as some new songs, meeting the guys, getting autographs & a fist bump from Shannon, to meeting some great people I follow on twitter like Alicia (@IAm_Echelon) & Jamie Lee (@Fangbanger17). It was truly a magical night for me. I never felt so comfortable in a room full of strangers in my life. And there is so much more to look forward to with the release of Love Lust Faith + Dreams. My VyRT ticket is bought for #MarsMay21st, which coincidentally is my daughter Mya’s 14th birthday. We are both looking forward to the day & the arrival of our CD’s. I have a feeling that this new era of Thirty Seconds To MARS will be the biggest & best we have see thus far. I personally can not wait to see & experience all I can during it. Thank you Jared, Shannon, Tomo, Emma, The Hive & the entire MARS crew for working so hard on everything you do for us. I truly love you all. The music, the art, the family… even a million thank you’s just doesn’t seem like enough. <3
